AECID launches new report on private sector and SDGs

Spanish development agency, AECID, hosts an event in Madrid on May 30, 2017, to present its report on the private sector in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda. Produced jointly by AECID and the Spanish CSR organization Forética, the new report elaborates on how the private sector may support and contribute to global development. Participants include AECID’s Director, Luis Tejada, other representatives from the Spanish government, and civil society organizations.

Annual OECD Forum to take place in Paris in June 2017

The OECD Forum gathers in Paris from June 6-7, 2017 to debate some of the most pressing social and economic challenges confronting society. The 2017 agenda is forthcoming; however, former and current heads of state and government, CEOs, leaders of key NGOs and trade unions as well as members of academia and the media are all invited to debate policies and share ideas. The 2016 conference covered such issues as closing the gender gap, integration, and the changing world of work under the overarching title:  ‘Productive Economies and Inclusive Societies’.

Scientific Future Group hosts 3rd Global Conference on Vaccines in Barcelona

From August 21 to 23, 2017, the Scientific Future Group hosts the 3rd Global Conference on Vaccines (GCV-2017) in Barcelona. The conference aims to bring together professors, researchers, scientists, students, and global health professionals to explore innovative strategies within vaccine development and promote discussion on technological advances. Scientific sessions focus on human vaccines for communicable and non-communicable diseases, including the Zika virus, vaccines in cancer therapy, the future of vaccines, and veterinary vaccines.
