Ibero-American Secretariat hosts workshop on SDGs and democratic participation

The Spanish Foundation CIDEAL on Cooperation and Research organizes a workshop “Sustainable Development Goals and Citizenship Participation in Ibero-America” at the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) headquarters in Madrid. The objective of this workshop is to explore the links between democratic participation and the SDGs, and to review successful experiences where civil society has effectively contributed to foster human development in Latin America.

Spanish CONGDE organizes a summer course on media and refugees

The Spanish development NGO umbrella organization, CONGDE, organizes a training course for journalists and NGO professionals to increase understanding on the refugee crisis and media coverage. The two-day event consists of a series of workshops covering a range of themes including uncomfortable truth and responsibility in communication, multi-media presentation, and women and human rights. In another, communications professionals, including popular Spanish TV journalist Jordi Évole, analyzes mainstream and innovative narratives around the refugee crisis.

Scientific Future Group hosts 3rd Global Conference on Vaccines in Barcelona

From August 21 to 23, 2017, the Scientific Future Group hosts the 3rd Global Conference on Vaccines (GCV-2017) in Barcelona. The conference aims to bring together professors, researchers, scientists, students, and global health professionals to explore innovative strategies within vaccine development and promote discussion on technological advances. Scientific sessions focus on human vaccines for communicable and non-communicable diseases, including the Zika virus, vaccines in cancer therapy, the future of vaccines, and veterinary vaccines.
