Canada announces new diplomatic appointments

Canada's minister of foreign affairs, Chrystia Freeland, has released the following new diplomatic appointments:

  • Hugh Adsett has replaced Jennifer Loten as ambassador and permanent representative to the Organization of American States, in Washington, D.C;
  • Madeleine Chenette has replaced Michelle d’Auray as ambassador and permanent representative to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, in Paris; and
  • Leslie E. Norton replaced Rosemary McCarney as ambassador and prmanent representative to the Office of the United Nations and to the United Nations Conference on Disarmament, in Geneva.
