Head of Italy's Five Star party, Luigi Di Maio, appointed minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation

On September 5, 2019, prime minister Giuseppe Conte was sworn in for his second term. His new cabinet is composed of 21 ministers, 10 from the populist Five Star movement, nine from the center-left Democratic Party, and one from the left-wing Liberi e Uguali.

Luigi Di Maio, leader of the Five Star Movement and deputy prime minister in the previous government, has been nominated as minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation.
