Japan shares its views on regional and international issues at East Asia Sunmmit

At the East Asia Summit (EAS) foreign ministers' meeting in Bangkok,  Japanese foreign minister Taro Kono shared Japan's position on issues in the Indo-Pacific, including the promotion of quality infrastructure development in the region. He also highlighted Japan's commitment to supporting people displaced by crisis in the Rakhine state in Myanmar and their host communities. Kono also stressed the promote "candid" dialogue at the EAS, which is the region's premier forum for discussion of shared issues.
