Japan stresses importance of its investment on African business development

At the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 7) Preview Symposium, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kenji Yamada emphasized the role of Japan's new strategic investment in African business development on improving the investment environment in Africa.

In his statement, the Japanese government announced its goal to strengthen the private investment environment through the use of official development assistance (ODA) on infrastructure investment. Japan also plans to establish an 'African Business Public-Private Round Table Meeting'.
