Dutch representatives meet at annual Ambassadors' Conference
On January 27-31, 2020, approximately 150 dutch diplomats stationed around the world met with Netherlands-based thematic ambassadors in the Hague for the annual Ambassadors Conference. The Netherlands, which has 109 embassies, 28 consulates, and 13 permanent representations worldwide, organizes this gathering at the beginning of each year to provide an opportunity to discuss diplomacy issues such as security, human rights, climate, religion, or Brexit.
The conference also focused on trade-related matters, with a meeting between diplomats and representatives of Dutch companies and businesses. This year, the trade program had a specific focus on the fight against child labor.
