South Korea coordinates its grant aid projects
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea, the main coordinating body for South Korea’s grants, held its annual consultation meeting with ministries and institutions that implement grant development financing. The ministry examines and discusses suitability of official development assistance (ODA) projects, prevention of duplicating projects, promotion of linkages between projects, enhancement of cooperation among ministries and agencies, and alignment with government’s foreign policies.
The number of projects that applied for funding for 2020 is 1,575, which is a 13% increase from the previous year. The final list of projects will be discussed and agreed upon by the Committee for International Development Cooperation in mid-2019.
