Arancha González takes office as Spain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation

On January 13, 2020, Arancha González was appointed Spain's Minister of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation. Minister González previously served as Assistant Secretary-General for the UN and as Executive Director of the World Trade Organization (WTO) International Trade Center, and as Chief of Staff to WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy. 

In addition, González has also held several positions in the European Commission, supporting low-income countries in their efforts to promote trade and development.
