Spanish public opinion largely supports development cooperation

The European Commission released the 'Special Eurobarometer report on EU citizens and development cooperation' in October, 2019. This report which is based on a series of interviews conducted in June 2018, discovered that a majority (74%) of Spanish citizens believed that tackling poverty in developing countries should be one of the main priorities of their national government. In addition, 93% of the respondents from Spain underlined that it is important to help people in developing countries.
