Spanish think tank holds Madrid seminar with UN counterpart on health research and SDG's

The Spanish global health and development think tank Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) and REDS, the Spanish counterpart for the UN's Sustainable Development Solutions Network's, held a high-level seminar in Madrid on May 29, 2019. The seminar focused on intimate links between health research and development and the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.

The Spanish minister of ecological transition, Teresa Ribera, and the minister of science, innovation and universities, Pedro Duque, highlighted Spain’s engagement with the third objective of the Sustainable Development Goals’ (SDG's), focused on 'Good Health and Well-Being'. Participants in the event emphasized the critical role science and innovation can play in advancing the Agenda 2030.
