UK and Kuwait sign formal action plan for collaboration on international development priorities

The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and the UK Department for International Development (DFID) signed a new memorandum of understanding in Kuwait on February 2, 2020. The memorandum outlines how the two nations can more effectively work together to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The agreement was signed at the fifteenth meeting of the biannual UK-Kuwait Joint Steering Group, by the UK Minister for the Middle East, Dr. Andrew Murrison, and Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr. Aljarallah. It is part of wider efforts by the UK to enhance its ties with Kuwait on a range of issues including trade, investment, migration, security, and defense.
