With focus on gender-based analysis, Canada announces funding for Ukraine security reform

Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs, François-Philippe Champagne, has announced over CA$4 million (US$3 million) in funding to strengthen Ukraine's defense and security sector.

Specifically, this funding will go toward projects that "integrate technical expertise, gender-based analysis, and results-based management tools to enhance security sector institutions."

This funding builds on Canada's Operation UNIFIER (launched in 2015) which provides military training and capacity building to Ukraine.
