Netherlands to donate 500,000+ COVID-19 vaccines to Suriname

On May 29, 2021, the Dutch Minister of Health, Hugo de Jonge, sent a letter to parliament announcing that the Netherlands plans to send between 500,000 and 750,000 COVID-19 vaccines to Suriname.

De Jonge stated that the vaccines will arrive in Suriname at the earliest at the end of June. In addition to the COVID-19 vaccines, the Netherlands will also send other medical supplies, such as oxygen and medicine, as soon as possible.
