South Korea provides humanitarian assistance for humanitarian crisis in Venezuela

South Korea has provided US$3-million in humanitarian aid to Venezuela to address domestic economic crisis as well as to Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador to mitigate the burden they face from accommodating a massive number of refugees and migrants. Out of the US$3 million, US$1 million will be used to emergency relief of food and medicine to the Venezuelan people and the other US$2 million will be allocated to neighboring countries to support refugees and migrants. The decision part of South Korean government’s effort to enhance its humanitarian aid program.
