Dutch Development Minister takes on additional role as Minister of Foreign Affairs

On May 24, 2021, the Dutch government announced that the current Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Sigrid Kaag, will from now on also take on the role of Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Stef Blok, stepped aside to take on his new role as Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate.

These changes were made due to the former Minister of Economic Affairs, Bas van 't Wout, stepping down for at least three months due to health reasons.
