Expert roundtable seeking new funding for SDGs delivers findings and recommendations to Japanese Foreign Minister

The 'Expert Roundtable to Consider New Funding to Achieve the SDGs' delivered its report to Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi, which included discussions and recommendations concerning tax policies such as entry and departure taxes, passport and visas taxes, financial transaction taxes, and digital taxation, as well as measures to promote private sector investment such as SDG bonds and blended finance.

The expert roundtable consisted of members from Shibusawa & Company, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, JP Morgan Chase, Hitotsubashi University, Keio University, and The Japan Research Institute. Foreign Minister Motegi stated that he will refer to the report as he aims to secure funds for achieving SDGs.
