France appoints new Ambassador for Global Health Issues

France has appointed Stéphanie Seydoux as the French Ambassador for Global Health Issues. Seydoux is charged with overseeing the implementation of France's strategy for global health, in particular the fight against HIV/AIDS and communicable diseases. She has previously served in the French government in various capacities, including as chief of women’s rights and gender equality. She also served as First Counsellor at the French embassy in Kenya.
