Netherlands contributes US$63 million to ACT-A for global COVID-19 response

The Dutch government has contributed an additional €52 million (US$63 million) to the Access to COVID-19 Tools Accelerator (ACT-A), the global partnership to fight COVID-19.

Of these funds, €12 million (US$15 million) is intended to strengthen the response to the COVID-19 pandemic through the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The remaining €40 million (US$48 million) is allocated to COVAX, the vaccines pillar of ACT-A, for the purchase of vaccines.

Since the pandemic began, the Dutch government has contributed €137 million (US$165 million) to the global response to COVID-19.
