On December 7, 2023, the Donor Tracker and Coopération Globale hosted "Donor Tracker and Coopération Globale: The Imperative of Evidence-Based Development Cooperation". The webinar featured good practices for strengthening evidence-based development cooperation among different countries and institutions, inspiring policy leaders to invest more and discuss the biggest challenges and bottlenecks and how to overcome them.

The presentation was complemented by an insightful panel discussion from a wide variety of experts, highlighting expertise on integrating evidence into development cooperation. The panel featured Eirik Mofoss, Policy Director at Norad; Daniel Handel, Lead Specialist External Engagement at 3ie; Janeen Madan Keller, Deputy Director of the Global Health Policy Program and Policy Fellow at the Center for Global Development; Armin von Schiller, Project Lead at IDOS; and Patrick Stadler, Advisor at Coopération Globale.

The panel experts touched on topics including reconciling the importance of impact evaluations with the widely used OECD-DAC criteria, designing effective impact evaluations, and incentivizing donors to focus on concretely improving development outcomes.
